I'm knitting socks for Ed with this yarn because he loves the color. It's Cascade 220 [Color 5011; Lot 5258] and, since I want to get 6 sts/1", I have to use US sz 2 wooden dpn's.
I am a loose knitter, therefore I knit with smaller needles. {sigh}
There is no pattern. I figured (10" circumference x 6 sts/1")-10%, for fit, +2 sts. Why 2 sts? So I can knit a 2x2 rib.
I guess you could say I knit socks without a pattern. I remember the pattern I used a hundred years ago. You know, it seems I kind of got burned out on socks. I hope I get unburned.
I am my mother's daughter. She taught me how to knit, ride a horse, love and enjoy the unique characteristics of all living things, shoot a .22 rifle, drive a car, cook, be kind to people (if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all), sing, and country dance.
Back to knitting...I dream, think, read and talk knitting.
I knit every day.
"There are few things as rewarding as having someone comment on your blog. You have to think about it, knit it, write it, take the pictures, upload it...so when someone says something nice, it's an automatic pat on the back!" Fleegle
I wish I could knit socks without a pattern! I become a sock knitting machine... in between bouts of tatting!
ReplyDeleteLove the color! I cannot knit anything without a pattern. I mean nothing!
