Round and round I went with this tatted "Occasional Doily" with Ecru sz 10 thread. The blocking was a challenge (ALL those picots!!) and dried at 9 1/2" x 15".
WOW! That red is an eye catcher for sure! I can just see you floating out to toss crumbs to the chickens on your way out to the Salsa Dance with Ed! You'll be amazing!
Ok, I'll have to admit that you are smarter than me. I don't knit and I tried once to learn to tat. I couldn't make the first knot :-( BEAUTIFUL doily!
I am my mother's daughter. She taught me how to knit, ride a horse, love and enjoy the unique characteristics of all living things, shoot a .22 rifle, drive a car, cook, be kind to people (if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all), sing, and country dance.
Back to knitting...I dream, think, read and talk knitting.
I knit every day.
"There are few things as rewarding as having someone comment on your blog. You have to think about it, knit it, write it, take the pictures, upload it...so when someone says something nice, it's an automatic pat on the back!" Fleegle
That red is gorgeous! I can see why it would take so long to block your doily. It's stunning!
