Give-Away winner is.....

......#7!  Pam D, from Oklahoma, won my scarf!  I will be e-mailing her to get her address.

Thank you to all who entered to win this gorgeous Maaema Scarf designed by Denise of LostCityKnits!

NOTE:  If you ever find yourself wondering what to do with your aging loved one, you will not be steered wrong when you look into the FREE website ArtfulCare.com.  Not only do you get the information you need, you get Julie.  She is there, in between helping friends and family with their aging loved ones, to help you.  I am so glad I met Julie and I know you will be, too.

  6. First and foremost: My most sincere thanks and love to you, Maria, for expressing your confidence in my website, artfulcare.com, by promoting it in such an innovative way.

Congratulations, Pam D.! Lucky, lucky you. Wear the stole in good health for a good long time and know that a special person created it.

To all, please continue to share my website with everyone you meet. Today I celebrate not only a give-away winner, but also a personal triumph of sorts. A 93-yr. old friend who has known me since my childhood has (finally!) agreed to give up her independent living and has accepted a placement in a care facility. She will be free to continue her many and varied activities, including her daily 15-minute-mile walks. She's a role model for me. I will sleep easier knowing that she will receive attention, care, some monitoring, and security. Whew!

To those of you who have cared for and/or are caring for aging loved ones, my hat is off to you and I need you to know that I am here for you. My family and I have been directly involved in the care of 15! ... with 2 more in the wings. Ask me questions. If I don't know the answer, I feel fairly confident that I can find one for you.

May all your stitches be happy ones.
