This little doily crocheted up quite quickly. You can find the pattern here.
I used sz 10 crochet thread and a US sz 7 hook. Mine measured out at 5 1/2" wide.
I love it!
I have loads of that color thread. I call it my happy hippy thread because it's fun to watch the color pattern grow. By joining several motifs together would make a fun doily for my friend who thinks plain white lace is boring, even if it is handmade. If I sewed some beads on it, she would be in heaven.
I am my mother's daughter. She taught me how to knit, ride a horse, love and enjoy the unique characteristics of all living things, shoot a .22 rifle, drive a car, cook, be kind to people (if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all), sing, and country dance.
Back to knitting...I dream, think, read and talk knitting.
I knit every day.
"There are few things as rewarding as having someone comment on your blog. You have to think about it, knit it, write it, take the pictures, upload it...so when someone says something nice, it's an automatic pat on the back!" Fleegle
I enjoyed your Blog your puppy dogs. I wish I could still crochet
