This is my sister, Doris Vega. Here she is proudly wearing her Army uniform in the early 1980's.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is what she is wearing now. She died after a diagnosis of Adrenal Cancer in May 1997. They said she had 6 months. They were right.
In that short time span, my sister wrote letters and made a special gift for each of her two daughters, as well as, a video of herself.
Before this serious diagnosis, she had a Multiple Sclerosis attack.

Doris' new home is the 5th one from the bottom of this picture. Everyone had a flag.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

ReplyDeleteWhat a moving memorial. This must have been a very difficult time for your family and especially her daughters, but how awesome that she was able to leave a piece of herself behind for you to treasure. This brought tears to my eyes.
