MEMORIAL DAY........with my sister

This is my sister, Doris Vega. Here she is proudly wearing her Army uniform in the early 1980's.

This is what she is wearing now. She died after a diagnosis of Adrenal Cancer in May 1997. They said she had 6 months. They were right.
In that short time span, my sister wrote letters and made a special gift for each of her two daughters, as well as, a video of herself.
Before this serious diagnosis, she had a Multiple Sclerosis attack.
Doris' new home is the 5th one from the bottom of this picture. Everyone had a flag.
May she rest in peace.

Despite the losses and grief you feel, remember the good times that you had with each deceased.

What a moving memorial. This must have been a very difficult time for your family and especially her daughters, but how awesome that she was able to leave a piece of herself behind for you to treasure. This brought tears to my eyes.
